Lesson 1: Question3

Do I enjoy writing? Am I willing to develop the necessary language skills to teach and correct student work?

I can see there will be alot of work and I have to fight becoming overwhelmed. At the same time it's very exciting and I love to learn. The readings already have been so inspiring and enlightening from Daniel and Timothy.

It sounds like you have a great balance there. Don't become overwhelmed though. Remind yourself that God only expects you to do what you can do, and He only holds you responsible for what you already know and can do. Treat the writing and reading as you would a deep Bible study. Let it soak into your marrow and change you. Look forward to the enrichment that God is bringing to your family.

My heart is to be the most humble student in the Lord, that I may be the Master Teacher for my children. My willingness to stay in the books; writing, researching and feeding on God's faithfulness, serves as an example to my children to tough it out when they run into challenges. Because they have seen me study and persevere, they "gird up their loins" and keep at it. Always, even after we have all had a good cry, we are rewarded with the fruit of our labors. Prayer, prayer and more prayer is the key to persevering when we would rather slack off. I often feel overwhelmed because I have so much to learn, but, like Michelle said, we are not responsible for the things we don't yet know! Grace, upon grace upon grace.

How ya doin' there Charlene? I haven't heard from you in awhile. Let me know if you're needing encouragement.

Hi Michelle...here I am! Sorry, I've been busy "planning" so haven't checked the blog for a few days. Thanks so much for yours and Danika's comments. This is such a great idea... just the encouragement a newbie like me needs. I'm so excited to start the fall, my notebooks ready in hand, but I know I need to rely on much prayer and God's control in all areas - I have had a tendency to raise my expectations only to be disappointed by my boys' somewhat lesser excitement with "my plans". May God bless each of us and go ahead of us with His plans for our children and my prayer is that I trust Him each day with that. Thanks ladies!
