Blog Archive

You may have to go into the blog archive to access all our discussion points. The blog only lists so many, but everything for Lesson 1 is here. In order to really benefit, don't fudge on any of your readings (especially the ones from God's Word).

"That in the dispensation of the fulness of the times he might gather together in one all things in Christ." Eph 1:10
This verse on page one of the introduction really struck me because it speaks directly to WHAT we are to be renewing our minds, and WHAT is to be the primary teaching in our homeschools. If all things are going to be gathered together in ONE in Christ, it is eternally detrimental we are laying Christ at the Foundation of all our teaching and learning. The rest is irrelevant if you don't have Christ, for without HIM, you will not be "gathered together in ONE...in Christ."

I agree. I found this interesting. I believe I saw this in our state home school association journal. A teenager was asked if they has a schedule that had been disrupted in a given day and their mom could only choose one subject to teach, what should they do. This teenager, who was still being schooled, said for any age if only one thing could be taught give them Bible, Bible, and more Bible.

In the Principle Approach you will often hear that we teach for Biblical Christian character. The scholarship does follow, but if we look to the desired end result--we want Godly men and women.

This is a great line of discussion. We should keep this one going. Who has something else to add?
